We had a fantastic week long family vacation to the beautiful Costa Rican beach of playa Hermosa with our friends the Heists. Other than the standby flight issues (delayed two days going down and having to scramble to get home via Dayton then rent a car - 2 am arrival) the trip went off without a hitch. The kids really enjoyed the warm weather, beach, and to a lesser extent the Latin American culture. The opposite of my highlights, but oh well . . . it's a start. We hope to continue building on our travel experiences with the kids enabling bigger and more adventurous trips as the years go on.
