Washington D.C. 2005
April 2005

I had a great time visiting with Molly in Washington D.C. Unfortunately it was a bit of a whirlwind visit, and I wasn't able to to stay as long as I would have liked. It was exciting to see the icons of our democracy around every corner in the heart of Washington D.C. It was also nice to have the flowers in bloom all over town and pleasant spring weather. The Supreme Court, monuments (Lincoln, Washington, WW 2), Capitol Building (where I took a tour and was able to watch the Senators vote on the bankruptcy bill - elbowing a fellow tourist sitting next to me in the gallery more times than was polite, saying "isn't that . . . !"), White House, and the Smithsonian Air and Space museum were all inspiring. |
